Tuesday, May 17, 2016 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDT

Join SLA Toronto Chapter to learn from James King, Information Architect and Branch Chief at the US National Institutes of Health Library, the internal research library supporting the staff at the largest biomedical founder in the world. James will discuss the technology strategy that has been developed to drive the future developments in data, collaboration, and virtual learning. James will also discuss two of the library’s current initiatives – Custom Information Solutions, a geek squad team building data-rich websites for disease spaces, and the Technology Hub, a sandbox learning and maker space designed to experiment with 3D printing, data visualization, modeling, GIS, and bioinformatics analysis.
